CAT services provide convenient connection to Savannah’s new municipal annex
Posted on August 7, 2019
Savannah, GA – The city’s new Municipal Annex and Customer Service Center at the Coastal Georgia Center is only a short walk away from affordable transportation services provided by Chatham Area Transit.
The municipal annex at 305 Fahm St. is located about two blocks from the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, the central hub for most of CAT’s bus routes.
Opened in 2013, CAT’s transit center at 610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue includes a climate-controlled facility where passengers can purchase tickets and discount passes for multiple trips.
After catching a bus to the transit center CAT customers can walk over to the municipal annex, where they can take care of utility services, business licensing, property taxes, alcohol licensing and general cashiering.
The city held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning to celebrate the opening of the municipal annex.
