Chatham Area Transit Authority Title VI Notice of Nondiscrimination
Chatham Area Transit Authority is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from, participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, sex, age, religion, income status or limited English proficiency (LEP) in any and all programs, activities or services administered by Chatham Area Transit Authority in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related nondiscrimination authorities.
CAT Title VI Policy Statement
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”
CAT is committed to complying with the requirements of Title VI in all of its federally funded programs and activities.
Making a Title VI Complaint
Any person who believes they’ve been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice may file a complaint with Chatham Area Transit Authority.

A complainant may file a complaint directly with the Federal Transit Administration by filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights;
