May 4th – National Bike to School Day
May is National Bike Month, and May 4th will be the fifth annual National Bike to School Day. Communities and schools such as Charles Ellis and May Howard coordinate this event for children to enjoy a fun group activity of safe cycling.
May 7th – Spring Bike Sale
Get yourself a new set of wheels while supporting a great program! The Savannah Bicycle Campaign’s Spring Bike Sale takes place today at 1301 Lincoln Street from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.
May 11th – Monthly Public Meeting
At the suggestion of our customers, we have implemented regularly occurring public meetings. These monthly meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Transit Center at 6:00 PM. Come speak with CAT staff! We want to hear your feedback. Join us at the Transit Center (610 W. Oglethorpe Ave.) at 6:00 PM.
This month’s meeting will include a brief presentation on the proposed FY2017 budget.
May 20th – Bike to Work Day
National Bike Month events continue with the National Bike to Work Day. Join veteran and first-time cyclists across the country in a fun and active commute. Our friends at the Savannah Bicycle Campaign will be offering free coffee and snacks starting at 7:30 AM at Lincoln & Henry to kick your commute off right. If you want to participate but are afraid you live too far to commute the whole way, remember that bikes are always allowed free on CAT buses (two to a rack, first come, first served).
May 24th – CAT Board Meeting
CAT Board Meetings are regularly scheduled on the third Tuesday of each month at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center at 10:00 AM. This meeting has been pushed back a week due to scheduling conflicts. These meetings are open to the public. For more information such as future meeting dates, the agenda planned for each meeting, and copies of minutes from past meetings, visit our Board of Directors page.
May 30th – Memorial Day
Please note, buses will run the HOLIDAY SCHEDULE today.
May 31st – CAT Board Special Called Meeting
CAT Board Meetings are regularly scheduled on the third Tuesday of each month at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center at 10:00 AM. This is a special called meeting for the Board to discuss personnel matters.
