August 2nd – National Night Out
Celebrated on the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods better, safer places to live. Check for information from your neighborhood association or the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.
August 3rd – SCCPSS Students Return
August 10th – Monthly Public Meeting
At the suggestion of our customers, we have implemented regularly occurring public meetings. These monthly meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Transit Center at 6:00 PM. Come speak with CAT staff! We want to hear your feedback. Join us at the Transit Center (610 W. Oglethorpe Ave.) at 6:00 PM.
August 16th – CAT Board Meeting
CAT Board Meetings are regularly scheduled on the third Tuesday of each month at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center at 10:00 AM. These meetings are open to the public. For more information such as future meeting dates, the agenda planned for each meeting, and copies of minutes from past meetings, visit our Board of Directors page.
August 25th – Victory Drive Corridor Study Community Meeting
The MPC is seeking input on land use, urban design, landscaping, and transportation within the segment of Victory Drive from Bee Road to just east of Skidaway Road. Read about the Victory Drive Corridor Study and sign up for email updates on the MPC website, and attend this meeting to provide your input. The meeting will be held at 6:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 520 Washington Ave.
September 3rd – Savannah Craft Brew Fest
The annual celebration of craft beers returns to the Trade Center on Hutchinson Island today. Enjoy the breeze on your free ride across the river on our Savannah Belles Ferry, and please allow plenty of time for your trip. This event brings a large crowd, and there will be lines. Some wait should be expected. Please also plan your safe ride home if you’ll be drinking alcohol.
September 5th – Labor Day
We’d like to wish everyone a safe, long weekend this Labor Day. Buses will run the HOLIDAY SCHEDULE on Monday, the 5th, and the Ticket Window will be open 7:00 AM-4:00 PM. Administrative offices will be closed.
September 8th – United Way Campaign Kick-Off
Marking the beginning of United Way fundraising efforts for Chatham and surrounding counties, this popular event runs from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM at the Civic Center. Tickets and more details are available through the United Way’s website.
