The Chatham Area Transit Authority Board meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM in the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center (610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue).

February 1-26 – Savannah Black Heritage Festival

Savannah Black Heritage Festival logoNearly all month long, events celebrating the story and contributions of African Americans take place throughout Savannah during Black History Month. Some performances require reservations, and all are FREE and open to the public.

February 5th – Super Museum Sunday

Super Museum Sunday graphicEven if you’re planning to watch the Super Bowl today, you can still enjoy FREE access to numerous museums, historic sites, and other points of interest in Savannah during Super Museum Sunday from 12:00-4:00 pm. February 7th – Paratransit Customer Service Meeting * NEW *

people in a group talkingIn an effort to keep our monthly public meetings to one hour (see next item below), we are implementing new Paratransit Customer Service Meetings. These meetings will be regularly scheduled for 6:00 PM at the Transit Center (610 W. Oglethorpe Ave.) on the second Tuesday of each month, HOWEVER this first one has been scheduled earlier to avoid conflicts with Valentine’s Day plans.

February 8th – Monthly Public Meeting

people in a group talkingAt the suggestion of our customers, we have implemented regularly occurring public meetings. These monthly meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Transit Center at 6:00 PM. Come speak with CAT staff! We want to hear your feedback about fixed route, ferry, bike share, and any other general transit questions. Join us at the Transit Center (610 W. Oglethorpe Ave.) at 6:00 PM.

February 9th – State of the City Address

logo for City of SavannahThe public is invited to the Johnny Mercer Theater in the Civic Center to hear Mayor DeLoach give his State of the City Address at 6:30 PM. The Civic Center is just 4 blocks from our Transit Center.

February 13th – Route 75 Prowler Discontinued

February 20-22 – Downtown Streetscape Individual Street Meetings

collage of Broughton, Bay, and River Street photos for Downtown Streetscape ImprovementsFrom 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the City is hosting meetings to discuss the conceptual designs for Broughton, Bay, and River Street, respectively–one street per meeting. These meetings will be held at the Coastal Georgia Center, just a few blocks south of our Transit Center.

February 21st – CAT Board Meeting

board roomCAT Board Meetings are regularly scheduled for the third Tuesday of each month at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center at 10:00 AM. These meetings are open to the public.
