How to Ride |
Call CAT at 912-233-5767. Our friendly transit agents will be happy to tell you when and where to catch the bus as well as which route will best suit your needs. Once you know your route, just follow these easy steps:- Determine which bus stop on your route is most convenient for you.
- Arrive at your stop five minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus. Be sure you are waiting on the correct side of the street.
- Make sure the bus operator sees you as he/she approaches your stop. Before boarding the bus, check the route number and name. Ask the operator if you are unsure about your route.
- Have your fare ready at boarding time. The fare is $1.00 one way. CAT operators do not make change. Cash, Cash Advance Ticket, weekly CAT Card , monthly CAT Card, or senior/ disabled token must be deposited (or swiped) in the farebox. Dollar bills must be unfolded and flat when inserted into the bill slot. Passengers using ID cards for reduced fare programs must show the card prior to depositing fares. A passenger paying multiple fares for more than one passenger must board the bus first and pay entire fare.
- When the bus arrives, enter through the front door, first pay your fare, and then find a seat. If you have a question about your return trip, ask your operator when you board.
- About one block from your stop, pull the bell cord above the window.
- Exit from the rear door.
