Chatham Area Transit to participate in Earth Day Festival

Savannah, Georgia – Chatham Area Transit is participating in the 48th annual Earth Day Festival that will be held in Forsyth Park on Saturday, April 21, 2018.

It is the City of Savannah’s largest environmental outreach event of the year and the largest educational Earth Day event in the state of Georgia. This event presents a great opportunity to encourage people to leave their cars at home, try transit and enjoy the beauty of downtown Savannah in the Spring!

The Forsyth Loop of the dot Shuttle service provides fare-free transportation directly to Forsyth Park with a bus stop at Park Avenue and Bull Streets, for your convenience.

Additionally, the 4 Barnard and 14 Abercorn routes provide transportation options within two blocks of Forsyth Park during the festivities. These services are available for $1.50 each way or a $3-day pass that includes unlimited rides to explore Savannah all day. http://www.catchacat.org/maps-and-schedules/bus-maps-schedules/.

As part of CAT’s dedication to serving the public, the transit authority is committed to purchasing environmentally-friendly equipment and adopts initiatives and programs that help us reduce our environmental impact on our city, region and planet.
