CAT Driver - About CAT

Community Outreach

At CAT, we believe it is not only our purpose to get the residents and visitors of Chatham County around safely, but to go further, to be an active member of the community. We believe in traveling the extra mile, which is why we have made a continued commitment to serving our community with educational opportunities for the children of the area, career fairs, and various walks and runs to show our support of causes in and around the city of Savannah.

We also know that the youth of today are our transit riders, engineers, drivers and planners of tomorrow. We are out in the community making sure that these future leaders understand transit, air quality, transportation alternatives, sustainability and more through the educational Outreach program.

The outreach curriculum consists of presentations, field trips, and activities tailored to all local public and private schools in addition to special needs classes. A CAT Outreach Coordinator engages the various classes accordingly with age-appropriate materials and supplies teachers with information and activities to further reinforce the information the students learned during the presentation.

To schedule a field trip or presentation, call the Outreach Coordinator at (912) 629-3902.
