Chatham Area Transit - Always on the move!
CAT buses and Teleride services will operate on a Saturday schedule on Monday, January 16, 2012, in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. CAT's administrative offices at 900 E. Gwinnett Street, and CAT Central at 124 Bull Street, will be closed for business. Ticket/token/swipe card sales and telephone information will not be available.
SCMPD has also been alerting the community that there will be some road closures for the parade starting at 6:00am; traffic flow is expected to be back to normal by 2:00pm. CAT services entering the downtown area will be subject to detours and possible delays throughough this period. Additionally, CAT will have a bus in the parade. Some of the students from
East Broad Elementary, our educational partner, will be riding in one of our new 40 ft. buses. If you go out to the parade—which starts at 10:00am—be sure to give our friends a special round of applause!
